The protection of industrial materials from corrosion process is of paramount importance [1, 2]. Significant interest in the development of nanocrystalline Ni-W alloy as surface coatings is receiving considerable attention, since its potential applications are in multiple [3, 4]. The present work aims to prepare electrodeposited Ni-W/SiO2 nanocomposite coatings, using different SiO2 plating baths and to evaluate their corrosion behavior by open circuit potential (EOCP), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and polarization studies.
